The Romans Road to Salvation

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.”

From the beginning of time, God has had a plan…and eternal plan to bring you and me to Him. From that time, however, Satan has had an eternal plan to separate us from God. Due to our sinful nature and errant choices, we have indeed been separated from God and do not deserve an eternity with Him.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

In the times of the Old Testament, people would need to make physical sacrifices in order to atone for their sins. God knew that even through this, we as a people would still not truly be worthy of Heaven. So, He humbled Himself and came to the world as a man…to show us how to live, and to act as an eternal sacrifice for our sins.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

This is the most beautiful part of the gospel. Jesus Christ was punished and even crucified to serve as a punishment for what we have done, what we do, and what we have yet to do. What a thought!! He loved us so much that He would give His only Son.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus Christ lived a life of humility, yet he was the true son of God. He also lived a life of sinlessness, and was crucified for things he had not done. He died for you!! But the best of all, Jesus rose again from the dead to conquer death once and for all! Through this, we have the promise of eternal life with God. But it hinges on one thing…accepting the gift of Christ’s death for us. God asks us to call on him and believe in what He has done for us.

Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Once we have accepted the truth of Christ’s death for us, we are changed! Our prayer for you is that you take a moment to ask Christ into your heart. This gift is free for the asking…let Him transform your life! You will look at life so much differently and you will have a hope through any hard time that life may deliver.

Romans 10:13 “For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Please take a moment to pray this prayer with me:

“Lord, I know I am a sinner and I don’t deserve a life in Heaven, but you saw way beyond my faults, and knew that I needed a savior. Thank you SO much for sending your son, Jesus Christ, to die in my place. And just as Christ rose again to conquer the grave, I too have a promise of eternal life with you! I love you, Lord, and thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen”
